I'm back!

I'm back! Actually, I've been back in Doha for more than 2 weeks now. It's just I'm still on Vacation mode. That is what I'd like to think. He he he. Mavis and Xiane are still in the Philippines on their extended vacation and would be flying back on the 14th of September. I, on the other hand, arrived on a Tuesday night and worked immediately the day after. I'm just glad that I only had to bear going to work at 6:30 for 2 days as Ramadan came a few days later and work was moved to 8:30. Whew.

The first few days and nights were excruciating. My body clock was a mess  though Philippines was just 5 hours ahead of Doha. I'd wake up at 4 a.m. and would find it hard to sleep again. It's better now but I also don't want to get used to waking up at 7 a.m. as after Ramadan, everything will be back to normal and then I have to adjust my waking hour again.

I still have some posts that I want to add regarding our vacation in the Philippines but I've been to lazy. But I'll get to it this week, I hope. On the other hand, I've been quite busy at work; lots of admin stuff, projects here and there, meeting almost everyday! I also have to reacquaint myself with the projects that were left when I went on vacation so I don't get lost when they ask me for updates.

Vacation was tiring with all the travels and outings, but it's something that we look forward to the moment we arrive in Doha. Hopefully, the 10 months of waiting for next years vacation would fly-by quicker than the actual vacation. Anyway, Ramadan Mubarak and more posts in the coming days!

Goodbye Tita Cory

Yesterday we watched history unfold before our very eyes as we stood there on Osmena Avenue, with thousands more Filipinos, waiting to bid our beloved President Cory our final goodbye. I feel honored and privileged having been there to witness how one person out of her integrity, honor, decency and kindness could bring people from all walks of life togeher even in her death.

You truly were that one person the FIlipinos could trust and you will continue to be that one person who inspire us to do good things despite ourselves. Thank you for our history but most of all thank you for reminding us that the Filipinos are a wonderful and decent people worth dying and sacrificing for. Paalam minamahal na Tita Cory!
