House Hunting Continued...
Spent another afternoon searching for the right place for our small family. Well at least today we got to chill in the morning before going out to look for flats. In the morning, I was able to do my shopping to ensure that despite our very busy schedule we'll have food for the rest of the week. Then we all had lunch. Father and daughter took a nap while I lay in bed reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire which I am hoping to finish real soon. My daughter has now moved on to the next book which is the Order of the Phoenix. She's been really motivated to read since she wants to be able to read the 6th book- Half Blood Prince before the film shows in the cinemas in July. I wish to be able to do that too!
Tian spent the morning looking for flats advertised while I was in the supermarket. He was able to get some contacts however some were being rented out to companies, other no longer avaible and a few which were way beyond our budget. After a few hours he managed to call a few people who have agreed to meet us in the afternoon.
So we set off and saw this new building, we thought it was ok. Nice location, good price. When we saw the inside though, we were quite disappointed to find out that the rooms were not even square. there were irregular corners and a funny looking triangle kitchen! The bath didn't have a tub which is a feature that we would really like in a flat. So it was time to move on to the other flats that we were supposed to see. When we were calling the contacts though, none of them were picking up. Then finally, one did but the flat was in the Clipp area. So we had to rush to Clipp from Al Sadd. However, we were still keen on looking at other buildings which are really quite new.
So we drove back to Al Sadd area and went around, relying on contact numbers posted on the buildings, since there was still no answer from our other contacts. Luckily though we passed by this new building with contact numbers on it. We called the owner and were told that we could just go inside and take a look. We were happy with what we saw. Now things are really looking great. We are most likely to get this one. We'll just have to meet 2 more people tomorrow and look at a few more flats then we will decide.
So hopefully the search will soon be over. Fingers-crossed, we'll finally be able to get a new place and move there come 2nd week of June, as scheduled. Till our next update!

Thanks for the help. We didn't get the chance to see the apartment you were recommending as we really did want the Apartment hunting the end today. We finally decided on an apartment we saw yesterday in Al Sadd. Unfurnished but with split ACs and security. I'm sure Mavis will post more later. Thanks again!
