Life on the Spot! Life and Leisure in Doha, Qatar

I'm excited about the long holidays we'll be having starting tomorrow. It's Eid and Qatar has already declared holidays for next week which gives me a 9-day holiday! Most of the shops would probably close on the tomorrow (5th of December) but would open on Saturday. Sadly, we're not going to the Philippines as tickets are expensive and there are no bookings available anyway. I guess, we just have to make the most of it while we are in Doha. Stuff that I'd be doing  on the holiday would be:

• Going to Wakra beach on the weekend to play some frisbee and shell collecting.
• Inviting Friends over for lunch or dinner
• Doing more Pokemon Paper Mache with Xiane
• Cleaning up the apartment
• Going to Souq Waqif for some Shisha
• Visit Pearl and see if we can buy an apartment
• Get my free Iron Man DVD from Qatarliving!
• Watch movies and TV Series the whole day
• Spend midnights playing Call of Duty and Halo 3 (just started playing the game after 1 year!)
• trying new recipes and binging out on food

So for those staying in Qatar, what are your plans for the holiday and do you have any other stuff you can recommend doing?
