Friday Catechism

As I am writing this article, Tian and I are here waiting at the church parking area while waiting for our daughter who’s attending her Catechism class.  It is her first day today.  I’ve heard about the Catechism classes from two co-parents in school.  After some thought, we’ve decided to enroll Xiane in order for her to learn more about our faith and also in preparation for her first Holy Communion.  We briefed her about it and told her that it is like going to school, only this time, they will be learning about God.

Xiane instantly agreed to come here.  However, like all first-timers, she said that she was a little nervous once we reached the church.  I guess it’s but normal to be feeling that way, to have the jitters when you’re going to experience something new.  For a full one and a half hours, my daughter will be learning things other than literacy, numeracy, science, geography or arts.  It’s a good thing to have help from others in teaching your child matters of religion and faith.
