Day Off
I had some time off from driving when my Indonesian neighbor and friend offered to give us a ride yesterday. I find it very sweet of her actually. She knew that we leave at 6am everyday since I still have to drop Tian off to his office. Maybe she thought that it would give us a break because at least Xiane and I didn’t have to leave so early.
Who could say no to such act of kindness? So we joined them yesterday. But more than the ride, it was a nice time for us to bond. We got to spend some good time together and I learned a lot about her and a lot of things from her. Thanks to her, I’ve learned an easier and much faster route to school rather than my usual C-Ring and Salwa Road route.
Though it was really nice of her to offer that we can ride with them everyday, Tian and I have decided to decline the offer. We just didn’t want to be too much of a bother to her. Besides it’s also a good thing that I’m driving again. I can accomplish more tasks since I have more control of my time and schedule. But most of all I have more independence. Nonetheless, I told my friend that I will tell her when I need a ride and likewise she can always count on me when she needs me. Maybe we can also go together if we want to have some bonding time.
