Blog Entries

I started my blog on March 28, 2005. I was still in Bahrain working for Orbit Communications when I decided to try what people were geting excited about; BLOGS or personal online journal. Since, blogging has invaded the media and has become one of the mainsteam sources of information. I started with Blogspot since it was free.

Here's an excerpt of that first entry:

It is the start of a brand new day. I have been fascinated with blogging ever since but never really found time to do it (or was I too lazy?). So here I am, trying to psyche myself into blogging, finding time and putting effort to it. I've always liked writing so hopefully I'll find my way back to my roots (hey, I spent 2 years in college with Journalism as my Major). This also reminds me of our 3rd year highschool "diary" but way back then, you only had to use a pen and paper to start. Now everything is being touted as "digital" and "online".

Eventually, I bought the domain LifeOnTheSpot.com so we could expand and have more control on our blog. We transferred to our new home on July 27, 2006 and I was still able to import some of our entries from the old site. Since then, we've had 107,246 unique visitors to our site with about 500 page views per day. It may not be as traffic heavy as other logs but having maintained it for the last 2 years and more is quite an accomplishment as I've seen a lot of blogs come and go. Here's to hoping for more blog entries and hope that readers gain more insights of our lives and  life in Qatar.

This would be our 361st entry for our blog since we started in 2005.  So if there’s any article that anyone would like to read again just please be patient in browsing through the entries.  Most entries are under the “personal” category.  We have never deleted any entries from our blog.  Once it’s published it stays here forever. So there you go, what gets published in the blog, stays in the blog. There's no point in maintaining a blog if you'll just delete entries you've already written. So here's to more blogging and hope that you keep reading!
