My 31st!
Yup you heard it right! I just turned 31 on November 25. I couldn't believe my ears either. But as they say, getting old is just a state of mind. Besides getting a year older is not as bad when you also grow a year wiser. Well I certainly hope that I am gaining wisdom.
Well this year, I didn't have any big celebration. By "big" I meant, no cooking for friends to celebrate my birthday. I promised myself that Tian's birthday last September would be the last time. I did have plans to treat my girl friend for breakfast that day but unfortunately, our busy schedules just didn't meet. I was supposed to set it on another day but since my birthday was over, there wasn't much sense in doing it. Besides a friend also said that it isn't a big deal whether I treat them or not. So the three of us just went our for dinner on the evening of my birthday. We went to Far East, a Thai restaurant located at Mirgab Street. Since we have often eaten in Applebees, we wanted something different, something oriental. I would have opted for Chinese food but Tian wasn't too keen about it. Anyway, it was worth trying. We asked for something different and we really got it. It's different in a nice way though. We did like the food, only that it's a bit expensive and they have very small servings. It was a nice dinner with my husband and my daughter Xianelle.
As for my present, last year I got a Dell laptop. I'm still waiting for the Estee Lauder Blockbuster makeup kit for my birthday present. It may not be as expensive and as grand as the laptop but I'd be very happy once I have it.
