Hiatus
OMG! I checked our blog and my last entry was on November 10. After my month-long hiatus, I’m just glad that I’m pounding on the keyboard of our PC once again. Well, I did miss writing for our blog but I must admit that it had to take a backseat when I decided to give more time to my social life. Writing needs a special time and needs a lot of thought. Although my husband tells me from time-to-time that nobody ever writes for our blog anymore (meaning I don’t write anymore), I know that he’s more than happy that I’ve gotten the chance to go out with new friends, co-mothers from school. And it gave him a reason to write for the blog himself since for the past months he has relied on me on updating our blog. Now that’s what I call fair share.
For a month, I would go with a friend about 2 times a week to Villagio after bringing the kids to school in the morning. The shops in The Villagio Mall open at around 9 or 10 a.m. but Carre Four opens at 8:00. So we would arrive at Villagio around 10 minutes before 8 a.m. and would wait at the parking lot for Carre Four to open. Then we would do some groceries at Carre Four or sometimes just really go around. We would try make-ups on at the make-up section. One time, a guard approached me while I was trying on an eye liner. He asked if the item was mine. I told him it wasn’t but it was a tester. Well I guess I would have to give him the benefit of the doubt, being male, he doesn’t go and try on make-ups.
From Carre Four, we would normally eat breakfast at McDonald’s. Not that it’s our favorite, it just happens to be the very first fastfood store that opens at the food court. If only all the other stores opened as early as McDonald’s then we would have had more variation. Anyway, we’re happy as long as we have coffee for breakfast. We would chat while having bf and then after that we would visit the different stores. Our favorite destination is H&M, probably because it is the biggest store in the Villagio. Sometimes we would try on clothes but not necessarily buy them. It is fun to be trying on clothes and see if they look good on you. We would kill time by going to these stores until it’s time to fetch the kids again.
While it was fun window-shopping, I would say that it is the time spent with a new friend that was more important to me. Having those trips to Villagio with this friend at least once or twice a week has given me enough time to get to know her. And I must say that getting to know someone who’s really nice and grounded enriches one’s life. I’m just glad that I took the time to bond with someone because it meant that I’ve gain a new friend and I am hoping that she’ll be my friend for life.
As for updating the blog, I would try my very best to write at least once a week no matter how busy I get in the coming days.
