HOUSE M.D.
I know I’ve been mentioning House M.D. a lot lately.
House, also known as House, M.D., is a critically-acclaimed American medical drama television series created by David Shore and executive produced by Shore and film director Bryan Singer. The award-winning medical drama debuted on the FOX Network on 16 November 2004 and is currently the most watched program on the said network.HOUSE, an innovative take on the medical drama, solves mysteries where the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients.
It stars British actor Hugh Laurie as the American title character, a role for which he received the 2006 and 2007 Golden Globe Awards and 2007 Screen Actors Guild award for Best Actor in a Drama. Now on its fourth season which premiered on September 25, 2007 in the United States and Canada.
Luckily for us, we finally took interest and got the chance to watch it. I asked Tian to download it 2 weeks ago. We started to watch the 1st Season last week but since it’s a holiday, we were able to watch marathon and were able to finish the whole season today. Now, we’re starting on the 2nd Season. It is just so good you can’t stop watching once you start watching an episode, and you end up craving for the next episodes. We only stop when we’re about to doze off. Every episode is so engaging and exciting not to mention so clever and witty. Hugh Laurie’s character Dr. House is so fascinating- gruff and blunt yet very endearing and enjoyable to watch. I guess, the fact that he works his butt off in order to save someone’s life is the very reason why you don’t hate him despite all his harshness, irreverence and callousness. Add to this his natural ability for wit and humor. It also has a perfect blend of characters even if it doesn’t have a powerhouse cast. It is definitely one of our favorite shows to watch, one of the best ones actually, a reason why it is alright if we spend our Eid holiday just chilling out.
