Three people were killed and several others injured when a trailer fully loaded with sand hit the barricade of a bridge and fell down, triggering a huge fire that engulfed several vehicles in Dammam on Thursday.

A limousine passing under the bridge leading to the port of Dammam was completely burned as the trailer fell on it, and turned into a fireball after hitting the underpass pavement. Two other vehicles, including a pickup, were also burned. Police and paramedics from the Red Crescent retrieved the bodies, as fire fighters struggle to control the fire. The accident happened at the second of the four bridges on the busy Dammam-Khobar highway.
