Of Weddings and Birthdays
Two big events are about to take place while we’re on vacation. First is the wedding of an aunt (but who’s younger than me) on May 29, in which is going to be flower girl. The second one is, of course the 4th birthday of our dearest daughter Xianelle. Xiane’s birthday is June 17 but the celebration will be held a day earlier.
Yesterday, we picked up her gown in Manila. Thank God because the measurements that I gave thru email were just right. The gown fits just right and there won’t be any alterations. Xiane is so excited about it that she even practiced walking last night. But of course everyone in the family are as excited but I guess not excited as I am. I’m just so glad that my daughter has been given a chance to be a flower girl. It truly is a dream come true. Today we are off to the mall to look for a pair of shoes for her.Also yesterday, Tian and I with the help of my sister-in-law, spent half of the day in Divisoria. We went shopping for items that we will be using for Xiane’s birthday party, mostly prizes for games and items for the loot bags. We bought a lot of school items like set of pencils complete with erasers, sharpeners and rulers, and also other things like activity books, coloring books, crayons, stickers, etc. Hopefully we have shopped enough to fill up the character bags as loot bags. Invitations have all been done, courtesy of DreamWorks (the desktop printing business of Tian’s family). Some of them have been sent out already although the majority will be sent out this coming week. It is the next big event that we’ll be hosting since the baptism of Xianelle in 2003. But this one we’re so look forward to because it is the first time we’ll be celebrating Xiane’s birthday here in Pinas and also because we know that this time Xiane is going to have a blast.
