Pre or Post?
That is, are we to have a pre or post-Valentine date? Since Xiane was born, Tian and I have never had a Valentine and anniversary date without her, except when those days happen during our holiday in the Philippines. Otherwise, it's always a threesome. I am not complaining, it is something that you come to accept when you have a child and living abroad.
This Valentine, we are still deciding whether to have a celebration before or after the 14th, Wednesday. Definitely, going out on the 14th is out of the question. We wouldn't want to compete with a lot of people dining out that day. If it's going to be "pre", that means we'll have it on the 13th, which is on Tuesday. But I guess we are more inclined into celebrating post-Valentine. I'd rather have it on a weekend, not having to worry that Tian still has work the next day whille Xiane still has school. As to where we're going, we still haven't decided on that yet.
I don't think I am expecting anything for Valentine's day. The last time I got flowers from my husband was in 2005, on my birthday. I guess, when you get past the dating stage and first 3 years 2 years of marriage, men find other ways of showing their love and affection. Well, I did get my Valentine gift already, a FUJI F20 digital camera. I guess I'd have that any day than a bouquet of flowers although I must admit the latter really is quite romantic.
Happy Hearts Day to all! Spread the love!
