Video of Saddam's Hanging
Saddam Hanging
Update:Here's an unedited video of Saddam's hanging.
Here's a supposed-to-be leaked video of Saddam's hanging. It was taken from a 3GP camera so the quality is quite bad. Personally, I was surprised at how fast the execution was done. It was without warning. No media/press release of it a day before, which should have been done. Questions on my mind about the hanging are:
1. Why wasn't the media informed earlier so that they could have prepared better?
2. Who were the witnesses in Saddam's hanging?
3. Do they really have an "official" video of Saddam's hanging?
4. Would they release it???
5. Is Saddam really dead?
There would be a lot of conspiracy theories that would float around I'm sure. I'm not even sure that the video of Saddam's execution posted above is real. How would one be able to get his mobile phone inside the execution room if security would have their way, as I'm sure they would have done anything to prevent leakage of the Saddam's hanging. I think this is a hoax but it's for you to decide. And even if the U.S decides to release an official video of Saddam's hanging and execution, I don't think I'd really believe it. I'm not for Saddam nor do I agree with his ways. My point is, I don't trust the U.S. administration. Who would trust a President whose answer, when asked about his most memorable accomplishment in the last five years since becoming President, is "I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake". (Reuters seemed to have removed the article here).
Note: Looking at the video closely and referencing it from the footage by media (not the full execution), I think this is tthe real deal. Here's an unedited video of Saddam's hanging.
