Last Two Days
We only have today and tomorrow, Saturday, to spend some time out of the house. As you know, we had been “trapped” in the house for sometime now since two members of my family got sick. Although we had a short trip to the mall last Monday for the rides that we promised Xiane once she gets well. This afternoon we’re going to take her to Corniche, stroll a bit and ride a dhow as promised. This will be our first time to ride and we’re really looking forward to it.

A dhow as defined on the web is a traditional arab sailing vessel with one or more triangular sails, called lateens. It is indigenous to the coasts of the Arabian Peninsula, India, and East Africa.
Hopefully tomorrow we’ll also be able to push through with our plans to visit the Doha Zoo, which we’ll be visiting for the first time. It’s been a very effective way in motivating Xiane to take her medicines when she was sick and now it’s time that we enact it. It has been reported that the zoo’s attendance reached a whopping 20,000 for the past 3-4 days. A bit overwhelming for a zoo that is home to about 144 species of animals. I just hope that there won’t be a lot of people tomorrow so that we’ll have the animals to ourselves and that we’ll be able to take photos of animals, not of people. This is how we plan to spend the rest of the weekend. We'll see how it goes.
