Cool Driving

It’s going to be my mon-sary on the 19th since I got my license. I guess in a span of almost a month, my driving has improved a lot. I’ve gained more confidence and I’m more in control of the wheel. My husband used to tease me with the way I hold the steering wheel on the first day that I drove. In defense, I’d tell him that the steering wheel of an automatic car is much lighter than a manual car even if it was power steering. I used to get nervous as I approach the roundabouts but now I feel more relaxed. However, I still avoid using the U-turn slot along D-Ring Road, the one near Family Food Center. I feel that I don’t have that confidence to do that yet on a regular basis. I also finally figured out why I perspire a lot whenever I drive and that’s because I usually place the aircon away from me because I would get cold hands and having cold hands made me nervous. But since I’m more confident with my driving now, I place aircon directly on me, thus I don’t perspire that much anymore. More importantly, I just try to be cool while driving. I try not to get intimidated and agitated by a few assholes that I come across with on the road. They will only make my life less fun if I’d get affected so I’d rather not give them the satisfaction. For the “nth” time, I just happy to be able to drive here in Doha.

Happy Anniversary!Keep up with your perfect record.

Hahaha thanks! You're the only one who has greeted me so far. Haha it's far from perfect but as long as I and my passengers stay safe and I don't cause any trouble on the road that's more than enough for me. Thanks again! God bless!

Gud for you! I'm still about to go there probably next month. That was also my first experience here in the Phils. when I first had my driving lesson. When I go there I probably had my own car and I might also experience the same like yours. At least your learning.

Hi! Glad to know that you read our blog. Anyway, having your driving lessons there would really help a lot when you come here especially if you intend to drive. It would be better if you could get your Philippine license before you fly here next month because that will save you time and money when you apply for your driver's license here. If not you will be forced to take the full course in the driving schools. Anyway, God bless on your upcoming move here. Hope our blog continues to be of help to you.
