Canon EOS 400D vs. Canon 350D

After reading my entry which compares the Canon EOS 400D/Rebel XTi vs. Canon EOS  30D, this is a comparison between the Canon 350D vs. Canon 400D.

Just look at the improvements made to the Canon 400D over the 350D and you'll be overwhelmed. This is not to say that Canon 350D owners aren't satisfied with their babies. But it's technology we're talking about and as with PC's, the minute you buy the latest model, those who sold you that item already has something better to sell in a couple of months (or in this case, a year). I've highlighted and made bold those items which I think are great additions to the 400D. The only thing that the 350D has over the 400D would be the weight as the 350D weighs a little bit less than the 400D. As for the size, I really can't comment on it as the comfortability of the size of the camera is dependent on the hands of the user. Some may find the 350D grip and size better as it is bigger (for bigger hands). You'll also notice that the sensor size are the same which means that the Canon 400D sensor is able to pack more pixels on the same size chip and Canon claims that that its second generation' on-chip noise reduction helps lower the noise of the same sensor size/more pixel effect.

For those wanting to see the comparison between the Canon 400D vs. Canon 30D, you can still read the article here. Otherwise, feel free to review the difference of the 350D and the 400D below.
