Life on the Spot! Life and Leisure in Doha, Qatar

It would be a public holiday this Sunday in Qatar as we celebrate Qatar's Independence Day. That means 3 days of vacation for me as my weekends are Fridays and Saturday (as opposed to Saudi where the days off are Thursday and Saturday). However, to make it even better, I'm taking a leave tomorrow. I still have 11 days of paid leave this year from the 37 weekdays I'm allowed to take so I decided to make this a really long weekend. 4 days of bumming at home! Not really. I'm supposed to do some household chores tomorrow like vacuuming and cleaning the exhaust fans. On Friday afternoon, we're scheduled to play tennis in Al Ghazal while on Saturday, we'd be entertaining our friends at home with Mexican food. That leaves Sunday as the real rest day then.
